Drone show in Abu Dhabi: 1,000 drones opening the Festival of Health
1,000 DRONICO drones opened the Festival of Health in Abu Dhabi with an evening show: urban space, warm night air, and a sky that became a screen.
The event
The Festival of Health was held for the first time in 2025 by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre together with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. It ran across three regions of the emirate with more than 140 activities and over 30,000 visitors expected: from 12 to 16 December on Al Hudayriyat Island, from 19 to 21 December at Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra, and from 26 to 28 December at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain.
Our show worked on the opening night, at the start of the programme.
How the show was built
The show is about rhythm and focus, about movement calibrated down to the second, about technology that does not dominate but integrates into the shared meaning of the event. A thousand drones give the sky enough resolution for recognisable figures rather than abstract patterns, which matters when a programme has a subject of its own to carry.
In our shows drones do not work for spectacle alone. They become part of the city’s cultural fabric and of a lived experience, telling stories and creating connection.
