Outdoor drone show IBA 2025

DRONICO flew twice at the IBA 2025 Men’s World Boxing Championships in Dubai: an indoor show inside Festival Arena on 8 December, and an outdoor show of 1,000 drones above the golf club at the championship gala dinner on 12 December.

The championships ran from 4 to 13 December 2025 as part of a two-week Festival of Boxing.

Sporting ceremonies have long become a genre of their own: bold, visual and full of energy. At the opening inside the arena the audience moved as one wave, light, music and the anticipation of the fight rising as a single impulse, and our drones entered that rhythm, heightening the moment of tension precisely and on time.

At the closing, when sport reaches its highest point, words fall silent and the sky speaks.

  • Format: indoor drone show, plus outdoor show of 1,000 drones
  • Where: Festival Arena and the golf club, Dubai, UAE
  • When: 8 and 12 December 2025

More on outdoor drone shows in Dubai: venues, permits and what a show costs in the emirate.

On what a ceremony adds to a championship: sport no longer sells the game, it sells attention.
