Indoor drone show at UAE Super Cup, 2023

DRONICO opened the UAE Super Cup ceremony in Dubai, then set a new world record at the tournament’s draw event: the first simultaneous flight of 200 drones inside a covered stadium. The show was broadcast live on three TV channels to 15,000 spectators in the arena.

For indoor flight, DRONICO deployed an internal ultra-wideband (UWB) navigation network instead of GPS. Each drone flew at altitudes of up to 10 metres, weighing only 149 grams and equipped with obstacle-avoidance technology to guarantee full safety above the audience.

We are proud that our team was the first to achieve this number inside a sports stadium anywhere in the world.
