Sharks for Qatar Tourism, 2025

DRONICO built radio-controlled airships in the shape of whale sharks and flew them in Doha as part of a Qatar Tourism campaign.

We designed the shape, calculated the flight dynamics and tuned the control systems for smooth, gliding movement; the figures do not spin or perform tricks. The campaign referred to a natural event that takes place off the Qatari coast every summer, when hundreds of whale sharks gather in Gulf waters.
