Outdoor drone show in Cappadocia, 2026

For the first time, drones lit up the night sky over Cappadocia. DRONICO staged the show during the Chinese New Year celebrations dedicated to the Year of the Horse.

Hundreds of lights worked above one of the most recognisable landscapes in the world, and the show ran throughout the days of the festival. A new tradition met a place people travel a long way to see.

Throughout the festival days, hundreds of lights appeared in the sky, forming symbols inspired by the Chinese New Year: friendship, prosperity and new beginnings. Cappadocia, often called the Land of Beautiful Horses, became a natural stage for the celebration.

The festival brought together traditions and contemporary technologies, combining music, projection mapping, gastronomy events, hot-air balloon performances, horse shows and large-scale visual productions. Against the backdrop of Cappadocia’s ancient valleys and rock formations, the drone show became one of the festival’s brightest moments: a meeting point of cultures, light and landscape.
